The vast majority of designer radiators that connect with a domestic central heating system will take standard connections and fittings just like any other radiator.
They will be compatible with the central heating's infrastructure (piping) and should be no more difficult to connect that a regular radiator.
Always ensure that work of any kind that involves mains water, or a gas, electric, or fossil fuelled central heating system is undertaken by a qualified plumber or heating engineer.
For some further advice concerning fitting a designer radiator please see this radiator fitting page.
If a radiator is fitted incorrectly, not only will it fail to perform adequately, but it may also damage the central heating system or result in a leak. Both of these options involve a significant cost and inconvenience to rectify.
Always have your designer radiator fitted by a qualified and professional tradesperson.
You may also want to ask yourself if your home would benefit from some additional radiators?
Although it surprises many, you can sometimes save money, or at the very least get more for your money, by adding some additional radiators to an existing central heating system. This is because the heat output (heating capacity) of many boilers is less than the heat output of all of the radiators that it feeds (i.e. the boiler is under utilized).
