Heated Towel Rail Radiators

Heated towel radiators and heated towels rails come in a wide range of styles from the ultra modern to the classic and the traditional.

The towel radiator has an obvious application in the bathroom or drying room and its tubular construction lends itself to designer styles.

Towel radiators can take the form of tall and narrow column radiators, or low height and long width radiators and they can be angular or wave shaped. The only feature of these units that limits their design is their requirement to have horizontal cross pipes on which to hang the towels.

Aside from drying towels, these centrally heated rail radiators are great at keep towels warm and snug.

Traditional style towel radiators

The more traditionally styled towel radiators tend to have either, a projecting towel rail that cantilevers four or five inches in front of the main body of the radiator, or a separate towel rail that runs horizontally above the main body of the radiator.

In both cases the towel rail makes an attractive feature that enhances the radiator and it is often finished in a polished stainless steel or brass look for appearance and ease of cleaning.

Column style towel rail radiators

The column style towel rail radiator works particularly well in bathrooms because its narrow width enables it to fit easily onto the typical restricted bathroom wall areas.

Column style towel rail radiators may have a separate towel rail, but more usually the rail design is incorporated into the vertical cross members of the main radiator design. This means that these radiators do not look unused when they do not have towels hanging from them.

If the radiator also has a wave profile that varies its horizontal cross members distance from the supporting wall, then the towels will be able to hang down from the cross rails without being compressed together. This will speed up drying time.

The fitting and performance of towel rail radiators is comparable with that of regular radiators.
